Wheel of Life and LOA

PDF Print E-mail

The way that Buddhism explains how things manifest and the Law of Attraction have a lot in common. Both explain how the basis of our manifest world originates in the mindIn particular, the Buddha taught the 12 links of interdependent origination which explains not only how rebirth works but how every experience we have in life originates. By knowing this we can deliberatly change the 12 links to create new formations in our mind that will eventually result in different and more positive experiences in life. For a more detailed explination watch this video below.

As you can see this expliantion aligns closely with the ideas proposed by the law of attraction which so many people are using in so effectively to create more abundance in their life. Where there is some divergence however between what the Buddha taught and the way in which the LOA is used is that the Buddha suggested that we try break the cycle and transend the wheel rather than use it. The reason is that while the wheel keeps spinning (whether for positive or negative) we are trapped in this world and thus always prone to more suffering. But by stopping the wheel from spinning, we reach a point of stillness which is said to be better than anything we can experience within this world or cause and effect.
